Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Conference
Air Force Research Laboratory at Kirtland Air Force Base, NM

SBIR Solicitation 11.2 pre-solicitation period is 26 April to 25 May 2011 

 New Mexico Optics Industry Association (nmOptics) along with the Air Force Research Laboratory Directed Energy and Space Vehicles Directorates offer you an opportunity to meet with topic experts and large integration houses on Tuesday, 17 May, to learn about the AFRL SBIR program at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico.

 The conference focuses on technology research opportunities with the Department of Defense on optics, lasers, adaptive optics, radio frequency, microwaves, millimeter waves, space electronics, space power, space guidance control and navigation, satellite communications, modeling and simulation.  For a complete list of SBIR topics for this event, scroll down this page. This conference is for educational purposes only and attendance does not affect the award of SBIR contracts.  

Attendees can meet one-on-one with AFRL topic experts and large integration houses for 15-minutes each; scheduling is based on first come, first serve. Scroll down to submit your meeting requests. 

Registration is open now and will close on 10 May 2011. A conference fee to cover costs will be charged. Scroll down to register.

 At the opening plenary session you will hear from the Air Force SBIR office and AFRL’s Directed Energy and Space Vehicles Directorates.  Learn from subject matter experts speaking on Writing SBIR Proposals, Technology Transfer, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), SBIR Commercialization Pilot Program, Data Rights and the Technology Ventures Corporation.

This conference will be held on Kirtland AFB, a United States Air Force military facility. For base access and admittance to the conference, you must be preregistered.  Scroll down for directions to the workshop site, local motels and local restaurants.
